This app is cool.

This is a great application that allows one to view molecular structures. The app made it very simple to download structures from the pdb, and then have them rendered and displayed on screen. This said, it would be great if more flexibility in 3-D model display were included in updates of the app. The current version displays molecular models in only "ball and stick" mode. Additional renderings, such as ribbons, space filling, etc., would be a nice improvement in future versions. This said, this is an excellent start for an app that will likely be a favourite of molecular modellers everywhere.

Its an okay program, but would be FAR better if you could build/submit your own structures

For students this app would be a lot more useful if you could get simple molecules even like H2O or simple organic molecules.

This app would be a killer if we can make our own molecules, both organic (maybe with mechanisms pka etc) and inorganic (with symmetry and maybe even MO diagrams etc). I would buy an app like that for $100. Nevertheless, great start!

Needs things like H2o. And the ability to makecyor own. And the search needs to be better

Needs more simple stuff such as h2o and other stuff like that so students grade8-10 can use easier. Would also be cool if you can make your own molicule. But my super smart friend loves it. Tried to give 3 1/2 stars but dont think u can make1/2 srry...

Crashes every time I try to search for a molecule. Disappointing.

Cant I rate this lower than 1 star??? Crashes whenever I try to download a new molecule. Waste of memory. Id like to know who rated it high and called it "cool". Every piece of crap app has at least one 5 star review. Is that just some ploy by the developer to get people to download it???

It keeps crashing when you search in the location or the data base

This is really awesome... for looking at the molecules that come with it. Unfortunately, it crashes every time I try to find new ones. Please fix the bugs!

Waste of memory

This is a really nifty app. wish I could open ".pdb" files and not just ".pdb.gz" files. that would be awesome.

Very boring try out spawn lite

This is a handy app for showing protein structures while away from your computer. However, a few key features are missing for a real biochemist. It needs the ability to show a backbone trace (ie toggle side chains on and off). It also is missing the ability to view the sequence alongside the structure. As well, it would be useful to be able to color the structure by nterm to cterm (blue at one end fading through all colors to red at the other end) so that the path of the chain is apparent. Lastly, the ability to highlight individual residues is needed. While these features are missing, I still use this app all the time when explaining research outside of the lab. Definitely check it out. Id pay a few ($5?) bucks for a "full version".

Wish it would be able to display pi bonds correctly instead of a generic look. Cant really use it for serious work but still neat to show non-chemistry folk.

Good app.. Might need some reorganizing, but very nice... But one thing is it doesnt really have a purpose, other than "hey look I can show you what a caffeine molecule looks like!"....

This is so cool! I love this app

Good app. Lags on really big molecules but other than that its great. More for the advanced chemist.
